Massie golf beats Blue Lions

On a very hot late August afternoon, the Washington Blue Lion golf team hosted defending SCOL champions Clinton-Massie for a nine-hole match at the Club at Quail Run.

The Falcons won the match, 160 to 179.

This was the best nine-hole score so far this season, according to coach Shannon Bartruff.

Max Carnevale was the medalist for Clinton-Massie with a 35.

Griffin Shaw had the low score of 40 for the Blue Lions.

Kyler Mount shot a 41 and Tyler Rood a 48 for Washington.

Brock Morris recorded a score of 50 and Gabe Arazo a 55 for the Blue Lions.

Thomas Carter had a 41 for the Falcons while Keith Mineer and Caleb Enright both had 42s. Cam Collett shot a 45 and Drew Kienle had a 49.

The Falcons are undefeated in SCOL play in 2016.

The Blue Lions host Unioto Thursday at 4 p.m.
