MT golf 2nd, Blue Lions 3rd at Wilmington quad

The Washington Blue Lion and Miami Trace Panther golf teams took part in an SCOL quad meet at Snow Hill Country Club Monday, Aug. 8.

Wilmington won the match with a score of 180.

Miami Trace was second with a 184.

The Blue Lions shot a 191.

McClain did not post a team score.

Washington had co-medalists with seniors Kyler Mount and Griffin Shaw, each with a score of 42.

Brock Morris shot a 52, Tyler Rood 55 and Gabe Arazo a 62.

For the Panthers, Mitchell Creamer and Tyler Eggleton tied for the low team score, both with a 44.

Hayden Walters and Jacob Batson both recorded scores of 48 and Ashton Cox shot a 56.

Miami Trace will host Hillsboro Thursday for an SCOL dual match.

The Blue Lions will be at the Grandview Invitational Friday and at home against Vinton County Monday.

This is the last season for the South Central Ohio League.

Wilmington, Clinton-Massie and East Clinton will join the Southern Buckeye Athletic and Academic Conference with play beginning in August of 2017.

McClain, Hillsboro, Chillicothe, Miami Trace and Washington will form a new league with Jackson, also beginning play in August of 2017.
