Week 12 Waiver Wire: No byes and options available

0

Here is my Waiver Wire report for Week 12. Good news, no bye weeks in Week 12. Now, let’s try to find some players for you to look at for this week and beyond.

RB Samaje Perine (Bengals) (8% Rostered on Yahoo)

The 27-year-old back up to Joe Mixon has had a productive season and he has been involved all season due to his ability to pass block. He also catches passes out of the backfield. Well after Mixon left the Stealers game with a concussion, Perine came in and had 3 TDs. Now, the NFL has been super cautious with concussions, so I expect Mixon will miss a game. Pick up Perine if you can. Chris Evans (0%) is also a good name to look at.

RB Latavius Murray (Broncos) (23% Rostered on Yahoo)

He was the lead back in Denver, this week with 17 carries and a TD. Melvin Gordon fumbled, and Chase Edmonds left with an ankle injury. Murray is still in a RB Committee, but he is involved and he has scored.

RB Cam Akers (Rams) (27% Rostered on Yahoo)

I have seen Cam dropped in several leagues as he now has 72% availability. In week 11, he led the team with 14 carries and 61 yards. I don’t think any RB in this Rams offense is a great pickup. With bad line play, and an injured QB, it is hard for a RB to make a mark, but if this is a sign that they trust Akers again, you don’t want to be left behind. You can also look at Kyren Williams (28%) as a potential pick up.

RB Keaontay Ingram (Cardinal) (3% Rostered on Yahoo)

This is a repeat of Week 11. This was a late add as RB Eno Benjamin was released earlier today and with Darrel Williams on the IR, that leaves Ingram as the true handcuff to now 3-down back James Connor. Connor has a history, and will more than likely miss games this season (already missed 4) and this catapult Ingram into a RB2. Keep in mind this comes before the Cardinals Monday night game.

Other RBs that need to be rostered: Isiah Pacheco (64%), Elijah Mitchell (70%) and James Cook (17%).

WR Treylon Burks (Titans) (20% Rostered on Yahoo)

Well, the rookie started out slow after being drafted to replace AJ Brown but for two weeks in a row he has gotten more and more involved. He only had a 50 % snap share, but he did get 8 targets and he caught 7 for 111 yards. He is the No. 1 WR in Tennessee and needs to be on your roster.

WR Darius Slayton (Giants) (51% Rostered on Yahoo)

Last week I told you to pick up Slayton. He has been the leading pass catcher and redzone threat for the Giants. His snap share has gone up every week and was 80% last week. In week 11 he received 10 targets for 86 yards. Also, Wan’dale Robinson may also miss time with an injury.

WR Demarcus Robinson (Ravens) (4% Rostered on Yahoo)

Since Rashaad Bateman went down, it had been a revolving door and a question of who would step up. This week it was Robinson with 9 targets for 128 yards. Since he was the lead this week, you need to give him a shot and put him on your team and hope he remains the No. 1 WR.

Stash and Hope: WR Odell Beckham Jr. (43% Rostered on Yahoo) Probably isn’t playing football until you are wearing your Santa Hats, but he may be usable on your playoff teams as he finds a home.

Other WRs that need to be rostered: Mack Hollins (16%), Donovan Peoples-Jones (44%), and Terrace Marshall (11%).

TE Juwan Johnson (Saints) (30% Rostered on Yahoo)

He has scored three weeks in a row and 4 of the last 5 weeks. He has seen 4+ targets a game. Not great numbers but if he is a favorite target of Dalton, then he needs to be owned.

TE Trey McBride (Cardinals) (0% Rostered on Yahoo)

He hasn’t seen much action on a team that was using Zach Ertz as the primary TE. Now Ertz that done for season, it is McBride’s time to shine. Again this comes before the MNF game.

Other TEs that need to be Rostered: Mike Gesicki (34%), Daniel Bellinger (1%), and Foster Moreau (40%)

QB Matt Ryan (Colts) (11% Rostered on Yahoo)

Matty Ice has been throwing the ball since getting his job back, and I doubt he loses it any time soon. He did not have a good game against the very good Eagles defense, but he faces a Steelers defense with a bad secondary in week 12.

QB Taylor Heinicke (Commanders) (14% Rostered on Yahoo)

Was named the starter, even when Wentz is healthy. He’s not flashy but he puts up decent numbers and is a good 2nd QB in a Super Flex or a streamer in a single QB league, depending on the matchup.

Stash and Hope Deshaun Watson: He can begin practicing before he can begin playing Week 13. The Browns will start him that week, if you don’t get him now, he won’t be there week 13.
