Tri-medalists lead Blue Lion golf to win

On a very pleasant, late summer Tuesday, Sept. 7, the Washington Blue Lion and Miami Trace Panther boys golf teams hosted Grandview Heights for a non-conference tri-match at The Greens.

Washington won the match with a team score of 181.

Grandview shot a team score of 191 and Miami Trace had a team score of 237.

It was a rare tri-medalist afternoon for the Blue Lions as John Wall, Garrett Wahl and Garrett DeWees paced the field, each shooting a score of 45.

Drew Ferguson and Will Miller both had a score of 46 and Luke Crabtree shot a 47 for Washington.

The Panthers were led by Konner May and Christian Porter, each with a 58.

Kaden Noble shot a 59, Cole Little had a score of 62 and Lucas Cornett shot a 64.

For the Bobcats of Grandview Heights, Nick Hayes led with a 47.

Colline Cleary, Jacob Larson and Ian Roediger each shot a 48, Shawn Roediger had a 54 and Ben Matter shot a 62.

The Blue Lions and Panthers are at Chillicothe Monday for the FAC meet.
