WCH 12-year-old all-stars beat Fairborn, Eaton

The Washington C.H. 12-year-old all-star team has won Pool B in the District Eight tournament and will advance to the District semifinals on Saturday at Moraine West Carrollton at 8 p.m.

Washington was scheduled to play at home on Wednesday against Fairborn, but that game was moved to Fairborn instead.

The game at Fairborn did not get underway Wednesday until 9:45 p.m. It ended nearly two hours later with Washington winning, 11-4.

Washington trailed in this game until the bottom of the third inning.

The team scored eight runs in the pivotal third inning.

The winning pitcher was Hunter Rudd. Sterling Smith and Dylan Bernard also pitched for Washington.

Washington played at Eaton Thursday night and routed the host team, 16-0.

Zane Joseph started for the Washington C.H. all-stars and he and Bo Little combined for a no-hitter. Joseph pitched the first 3.2 innings.

The Washington C.H. 10-year-old all-star team will begin District Eight tournament play Monday at 6 p.m. at home (Lewis Street) against Englewood.

The Washington C.H. 11-year-old team is playing in the District Eight tournament which is being held at Eaton.

Washington C.H. plays host Eaton on Monday, July 20 at 6 p.m.
