Lady Lions beat Jackson, 3-1

JACKSON — The Washington Lady Lions volleyball teams made the long ride down to Jackson a successful endeavor as they won both the varsity and junior-varsity matches against the Ironladies Tuesday, Aug. 31.

Washington won the varsity match in four sets, 25-21, 16-25, 25-13 and 25-23.

Statistically for Washington, Aaralyne Estep led with 17 kills. She also had 20 digs and served two aces.

Olivia Wayne led in set assists with 16. She also had two ace serves.

Kassidy Olsson had 11 kills and two solo blocks; Maggi Wall led with 28 digs; Allie Mongold had 14 set assists; Calleigh Wead-Salmi had five kills and Haven McGraw had two ace serves.

Washington began the evening with a 2-0 win over Jackson in the j-v match: 25-12 and 25-21.

Washington is scheduled to host McClain Thursday.
