Lady Lion volleyball beats Western, falls to S’Eastern

The Washington Lady Lion varsity volleyball team competed in a tri-match Saturday, Aug. 28 at Southeastern High School in Ross County.

Washington took on Western (Latham) and won that match, 25-12, 25-15.

For Washington, Haven McGraw led with three ace serves; Olivia Wayne and Aaralyne Estep both had two aces.

Calleigh Wead-Salmi and McGraw both had three kills.

Washington lost to Southeastern, 13-25, 20-25.

In that match, Maggi Wall had seven digs and Estep and five digs.

Washington opened Frontier Athletic Conference play at Jackson Tuesday.

The Lady Lions will host another FAC opponent, McClain, Thursday.
