Unioto edges Blue Lion golf

The Washington Blue Lion boys golf team hosted Unioto for a non-conference match on Monday, Aug. 9 at The Greens golf course.

In a very competitive match, Unioto shot a team score of 171 to edge the Blue Lions, who finished with a 173 total.

Washington sophomore John Wall was tri-medalist with a 40.

Sharing top honors for the day, Unioto’s Charlie Lewis and Braxton Platt each finished the match with scores of 40.

Garrett Wahl shot a 41 for the Blue Lions, Will Miller had a score of 44, Luke Crabtree ended the morning’s play with a 48, followed by Drew Ferguson with a 49 and Garrett DeWees carding a 51.

Also for Unioto: Keagen Snyder, 45; Jace Tucker, 46; Quade Kaltonbach, 47 and Cameron Spriggs, 50.

Washington is at Hillsboro Wednesday at 4 p.m.
