Gardner Park was the site of the Washington Blue Lion tennis team’s match against Chillicothe on Tuesday, April 27.

Washington won the Frontier Athletic Conference match, three courts to two.

At first singles, Ryan Elrich lost to Jonah Halm, 0-6, 4-6.

At second singles, Ty Rose beat Landon Rippeth, 6-0, 7-5.

Rachel Palmer lost at third singles to Colin Halm, 1-6, 3-6.

Washington took the match by virtue of winning both doubles courts.

At first doubles, Blake Bagheri and Drew Ferguson defeated Hattie Conner and Corrine Woods, 6-3, 7-5.

At second doubles, Olivia Wayne and Nathan Upthegrove beat Ethan Griffith and Kayla Penn, 6-0, 6-2.

In a j-v match, Washington’s Josh Carwright beat Kendel Herrod in a proset, 8-1.
