Seven prep football players from Fayette County — four from Washington High School and three from Miami Trace High School — have been recognized for their efforts in the 2020 season by being named to the Southeast All-District team.

A panel of sportswriters from the Southeast District made the selections.

From Washington, senior offensive lineman Sterling Smith, junior receiver Tyler Tackage and sophomore receiver A.J. Dallmayer were named First Team, All-District.

Sophomore Tanner Lemaster was named Special Mention, All-District.

From Miami Trace, senior receiver Josh Gilmore and sophomore running back Jayden LeBeau were named First Team, All-District.

Senior lineman Luke Henry was named Special Mention, All-District.

Washington head football coach Chuck Williamson said of Smith, “he was a captain and our best offensive lineman, very athletic with sub 5.0 speed, getting Division I FBS looks.”

Tackage was Washington’s leading tackler and carried 7 times for 89 yards and two touchdowns against Miami Trace and 24 carries for 130 yards and one touchdown against Thurgood Marshall in the playoffs.

Dallmayer had 30 receptions for 560 yards for a 18.7 yards per catch average and five touchdowns.

Lemaster had 21 receptions for 237 yards and four touchdowns and had a 34.7 yard average on 31 punts.
