CHILLICOTHE — The Washington Lady Blue Lion softball team visited Chillicothe High School for a game against the Lady Cavaliers Friday, April 1.

Chillicothe won the game, 10-3.

Olivia Ray was the winning pitcher for Chillicothe. She worked seven innings with six hits and three runs (one earned) with one walk and six strikeouts.

Ciera Strahler started and suffered the loss in the circle for the Lady Lions. She pitched four innings with seven hits and seven runs (none earned), one walk and two strikeouts.

Kate Jude pitched two innings for Washington, with two hits and three runs (two earned) with one walk and four strikeouts.

Washington had six hits in the game, led by Strahler going 2 for 4.

Maddy Jenkins hit a double for Washington.

Large and Beekman hit home runs for Chillicothe.

Corzine hit a triple and Ray and Brown each hit a double for the Lady Cavs.

Chillicothe began the game with a run in the bottom of the first.

Washington tied the game in the top of the fourth.

Chillicothe scored six runs in the fourth and one in the fifth to take an 8-1 lead.

Both teams scored two runs in the sixth for what would be the final, 10-3.

Washington was hurt by five errors that led to eight unearned runs for Chillicothe.

The Lady Cavs played error-free softball.

Washington (1-2 overall, 0-2 in the SCOL) has a home game against Hillsboro Wednesday at 5 p.m.
