Two prep basketball players from Fayette County have received All-Ohio recognition by Associated Press-affiliated sportswriters.

Both players surpassed the 1,000-point scoring mark for their careers.

Miami Trace High School senior Shay McDonald was named Special Mention, All-Ohio.

Washington High School senior Shawna Conger was named Honorable Mention, All-Ohio.

Steve Kalinoski of Circleville was named the Division II girls Coach of the Year.

Circleville recently lost 45-43 in overtime in the Regional finals to finish the season with an outstanding record of 26-1.
