MT gymnasts 5th at Dayton

The Miami Trace gymnasts placed fifth in the Dayton City Championships Saturday, Feb. 15, 2020.

The team recorded a final score of 124.15 in the meet held at Miamisburg.

The host school won the championship bringing in a 138.2 team score.

Beavercreek was second (132.9), Centerville finished third (131.825), Troy placed fourth with a team score of 129.25.

Alter was sixth, followed by Northmont, Miamisburg Blue, Arcanum and Versailles.

Grace Rolfe placed ninth on vault (8.15) and Lizzy Valentine was 10th on floor exercise (8.625).

Miami Trace team brought in six new high marks from Milana Macioce and McKinley Kelley.

Teammates Averey Cockerill and Grace Rolfe both collected two new personal best scores.

Abby Rose (Washington) earned two new high marks from the judges to up her performances on the season.
