Blue Lion j-v falls to Hillsboro, 42-30

The Washington Blue Lion junior-varsity basketball team hosted the squad from Hillsboro for a Frontier Athletic Conference encounter Tuesday, Dec. 10.

Hillsboro won the game, 42-30.

Washington’s Raleigh Haithcock and Calum Brown shared high scoring honors, each with eight points. Haithcock hit two three-point field goals and Brown had one.

Noah Hicks scored seven points (one three), Traeton Johnson scored four points and Titus Lotz hit one three-point basket.

Ethan Parry and Quintin Captain led Hillsboro, each with seven points.

Landon Weber and Ethan Neal both had six points for the Indians.

Hillsboro made 12 of 19 free throws in the game to 3 of 6 for Washington. The Blue Lions had five three-point field goals to two for Hillsboro.

The Indians led 13-10 at the end of the first quarter and 27-18 at halftime.

At the end of the third quarter, Hillsboro was in front, 38-23.

Washington (1-3 on the season) will return to action Friday at 6 p.m. at Chillicothe.
