In a certain sign that spring is on its way, the Washington C.H. Little League has announced registration information for the 2016 season.

The sign-ups will be Tuesday, Feb. 9 at 6:30 p.m. at the Washington Middle School cafeteria.

The league is now open to all residents of Fayette County and/or any student attending Washington, Miami Trace or Fayette Christian Schools, ages 7-12.

Minors is for kids age 7-9 and Majors is for kids age 10-12. The playing age is determined by the age of the child on Jan. 1, 2016.

The registration fee is $50 per player, $25 for every additional brother of sister in the same household. There are a limited number of scholarships available.

All parents or guardians must bring a copy of the youngster’s birth certificate and three documents proving residency dated between Feb. 1, 2015 and Feb. 1, 2016, or one document supporting school enrollment dated prior to Oct. 1, 2015 if player resides outside of Fayette County but attends Washington, Miami Trace or Fayette Christian Schools. It is requested that parents or guardians bring copies that the league can keep.

Madison Mills Youth Baseball Sign-ups

If you are 4-13 years old and looking for a fun place to play baseball this year, come out to the Madison Mills Township Hall to learn more about the fun and exciting season that is being planned.

Sign-up dates and times are as follows:

Wednesday, Feb. 3, 6-8 p.m.; Saturday, Feb. 6, 9-11 a.m.; Tuesday, Feb. 9, 6-8 p.m.; Saturday, Feb. 13, 10 a.m. until noon; Wednesday, Feb. 17, 6-8 p.m.; Thursday, Feb. 25, 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 27, 10 a.m. until noon.

Baseball Association of Staunton sign-ups

Staunton will be holding baseball sign-ups for children ages 4-13.

Baseball sign-ups will be held at the fellowship hall across from the church on the following dates and times:

Saturday, Feb. 6, 2-5 p.m.; Saturday, Feb. 13, noon-4 p.m.; Saturday, Feb. 20, 1-5 p.m.; Saturday, Feb. 27, 2-5 p.m. and Sunday, March 6, 3-6 p.m.

The entry fee is $50 per child. Payment is due in full at the time of sign-ups.

Your child must be 4 years old prior to April 30 and can not turn 14 before April 30.
