Lady Lions defeat Massie, 3-1

The Washington Lady Blue Lions varsity volleyball team played a match at former South Central Ohio League rivals Clinton-Massie Thursday, Sept. 5.

Washington won the match in four sets, 25-11, 25-15, 23-25 and 25-17.

Rayana Burns led Washington with 21 kills. She had nine digs, four solo blocks and three block assists.

Mallory Hicks had nine kills and two service aces.

Brittney Wilson had four kills, two solo blocks and three block assists.

Halli Wall had six service aces, eight digs and 33 set assists.

Emily Semler had two ace serves, Aaralyne Estep had 22 digs and Rachel Palmer had two solo blocks and two block assists.

Washington will host Frontier Athletic Conference opponent Jackson Thursday with the j-v match starting at 5 p.m.
