The Miami Trace varsity volleyball team opened the 2019 season with a non-conference match at Logan Elm High School Thursday, Aug. 22.
Miami Trace won the match, three sets to one.
After dropping the first set, 23-25, Miami Trace bounced back to win the next three, 25-16, 25-19 and 25-15.
For Miami Trace, Sidney Howard had six blocks, Tapanga Sanderson had nine kills and Kate Leach had three ace serves.
Miami Trace is at Madison Plains Saturday at 11:30 a.m. and will play at Jackson Tuesday at 5 p.m.
