MT soccer defeats Rangers, 7-2

The Miami Trace Panthers boys varsity soccer team hosted the Rangers from Hamilton Township High School Thursday, Aug. 22.

The Panthers won this non-conference match, 7-2.

Kyler Conn converted a hat trick (three goals) in the first half for the Panthers.

Hamilton Township had an own goal to give Miami Trace a 4-0 halftime lead.

Caleb Perry, Jaden Haldeman and Preston Quetchum each added a goal in the second half for the Panthers.

Miami Trace (now 1-0 and leading a suspended game against Circleville,2-0) will play its Frontier Athletic Conference opener at Jackson Tuesday at 5 p.m.

On Thursday, Aug. 22, the Washington Blue Lions and Lady Lions soccer teams hosted the Circleville Tigers.

Circleville won the boys match, 8-1 and the Lady Tigers won, 6-0.

Washington is at Wilmington Saturday with the varsity girls playing at 10 a.m. and the boys match slated for noon.

The McClain Tigers bring their soccer teams to town Tuesday with the boys match first at 5 p.m.
