The McClain Tigers golf team is now 10-0 in the FAC after winning the second conference match of the 2019 season Wednesday at The Greens of Fayette County.
McClain, led by Trenton Newkirk, won with a 177 team score. Newkirk was the medalist for the second time in as many FAC matches, shooting a 38.
Jackson placed second with a team total of 180. Hillsboro was third with a 189, Washington was fourth at 193, Chillicothe shot a 194 and Miami Trace had a 229.
Brice Cartwright led the Blue Lions with a 44.
Christian Porter had the low score of 48 for the Panthers.
Also for Washington, Brock Morris had a 48, Ty Rose shot a 49, Cameron Johnson had a score of 52, Drew Ferguson, 53 and Caden Hott, 60.
Dawson Wallace shot a 55 for Miami Trace. Other Panthers’ scores; Justin Marshall, 61; Carter Bainter, 65; Kyle Adkins, 65 and Blaine Williams, 72.
