Blue Lion 8th grade boys beat Panthers

On Monday, Dec. 21, the Washington Blue Lion 8th grade boys basketball team traveled to Miami Trace and picked up their second win of the year to improve to 2-2.

Both teams struggled to score in the first half due to a strong defensive effort on both ends of the court.

Going into the locker room at the half, both teams were locked up at 16-16.

To start the third, both teams offensive struggles continued.

A strong fourth quarter performance from Eli Lynch, who scored 9 of his game-high 15 points and clutch free throws from Levi Ludwick help secure the 42-35 victory for Washington.

Trevor Rarrick was the second leading scorer with 11. Levi Ludwick had 10. Garitt Leisure and R.G. Crabtree both had 2, and Ryan Schwartz had 1.
