The Washington Lady Blue Lions concluded their 2019 softball season with a home game against the McClain Lady Tigers Tuesday, May 7.
It was senior recognition day as Washington honored its two seniors, Maddy Jenkins and Taylor Smith.
McClain won the game, 7-0.
Crabtree got the win for McClain. She pitched five innings with two hits and four strikeouts.
Bolender pitched two innings with one strikeout.
Makenna Knisley started and took the loss for Washington. She pitched 5.2 innings with nine hits and seven runs (three earned). She struck out three and did not walk a batter. She hit one batter.
Brooklyn Devenport pitched 1.1 innings for Washington with one hit, four strikeouts and one walk.
Knisley and Haven McGraw had hits for Washington.
Washington finishes the 2019 season with a record of 3-19 overall, 2-8 in the FAC.
Maddy Jenkins was named First Team, All-FAC for 2019. She will be among the student-athletes honored at the Frontier Athletic Conference’s spring sports banquet Monday, May 20.
