Panthers, Blue Lions to host baseball tournament games

The Division II Sectional baseball tournament pairings were announced Sunday, May 5.

The Washington Blue Lions (3-17) are a No. 8 seed. They will host the No. 9 seed Logan Elm (2-13) Saturday, May 11 at 11 a.m.

The winner of that game travels to the No. 1 seed Sheridan (18-4) for a Sectional semifinal game on Monday, May 13 at 5 p.m.

The Miami Trace Panthers (12-5) are a No. 4 seed.

The Panthers will host McClain (No. 5 seed, 9-8) Monday, May 13 at 5 p.m.

The winner of the McClain/Miami Trace game will play the team that emerges from Sheridan vs Washington/Logan Elm winner on Thursday, May 16 (at either Sheridan, Washington or Logan Elm High Schools) at 5 p.m. for a Sectional championship.

The District semifinals are set for Monday, May 20 at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. and the District championship game is Wednesday, May 22 at 5 p.m. at Ohio University.

The Hillsboro Indians are a No. 3 seed (13-5). They will host No. 6 seed Fairfield Union (8-11) Monday at 5 p.m.

Jackson (No. 9 seed, 11-11) will play at Warren (No. 8 seed, 10-7-1) on Saturday, May 11 at 11 a.m.
