Lady Lions game against Circleville suspended

Despite the rainy nature of this past Saturday, the Washington Lady Blue Lions managed to play three innings in a home varsity softball game against the Lady Tigers of Circleville High School.

Circleville was leading the game, 3-0 when the game was suspended after three innings.

Circleville scored one run in the first and two in the top of the third.

Washington had one hit, that coming off the bat of Kassidy Olsson.

Makenna Knisley pitched three innings for Washington, with seven hits and three runs (all earned). She struck out one and did not walk a batter.

Ford pitched three scoreless innings for Circleville with one hit and four strikeouts.

Washington is scheduled to play at Wellston Tuesday at 5 p.m.

The Lady Lions will open Frontier Athletic Conference play at home against Hillsboro Wednesday at 5 p.m.
