On Monday, Dec. 14, the Washington 8th grade boys basketball team traveled to Chillicothe and picked up their second loss in a row at the hands of the Cavaliers.

Aggressive defense led to too many turnovers for the Lions and a lot of easy transition points for the Cavs, according to Washington coach Ryan Garrison.

Leading all scorers for the Lions was Garitt Leisure with 8. Trevor Rarrick had 6, Miguel O’Flarherty had 4 and Gabe Arazo had 2.

This Thursday’s game against Clinton-Massie has been rescheduled for Feb. 4.

Washington’s next game will be at Miami Trace Monday. The seventh grade plays first, beginning at 5 p.m.
