The Washington Lady Blue Lion junior-varsity basketball team hosted the team from Jackson High School for a Frontier Athletic Conference game Saturday, Dec. 8.
Washington won the game, 33-12.
The Washington j-v team is now 4-1 overall, 3-0 in the conference.
Washington led 9-4 at the end of the first quarter.
A 12-0 second quarter for the Lady Lions put the score at 21-4 at the half.
Jackson outscored Washington in the third quarter, 8-6, but Washington held Jackson scoreless again in the fourth quarter for a 33-12 final tally.
Haven McGraw was the game’s leading scorer for Washington with 10 points.
Jeleeya Tyree-Smith scored seven for Washington and Aaralyne Estep, Mia Moats and Corynn Chrisman each scored four points.
Maycee Burnside led Jackson in scoring with six points.
Washington’s next j-v game is Saturday at McClain High School at noon.
