Local quartet receives FAC volleyball honors

Frontier Athletic Conference commissioner Terri Tutt has released the all-conference volleyball team for 2018.

Hannah Haithcock of Washington High School and Jessa Mickey of Chillicothe have been named Co-Players of the Year.

Rayana Burns and Halli Wall of Washington and Ashley Campbell of Miami Trace were named to the all-conference team.

Also making the all-conference team are: Jaelyn Pitzer of McClain, Sydney Bobbit of Hillsboro, Abbey Munn of Jackson and Victoria Vitatoe and Maddie Coppel of Chillicothe.

Those student-athletes will be honored at the FAC’s Fall Sports Banquet on Nov. 15.

Chillicothe won the FAC championship for the second year in a row. They finished with a record of 9-1.

Washington was second at 8-2, followed by Jackson at 6-4 and McClain at 4-6.

Miami Trace was fifth in the conference at 3-7 and Hillsboro finished with a record of 0-10.
