Blue Lions 11th, Panthers 12th at golf Sectional

CHILLICOTHE — Three Frontier Athletic Conference teams took part in the boys Division II Southeast District golf tournament Tuesday, Sept. 25 at the Jaycees course in Chillicothe.

Unioto won the Sectional championship with a 324 team score.

Fairfield Union was second at 336 and Logan Elm placed third with a 338 score.

Westfall (fourth, 341) and New Lexington (fifth, 342) also advance to the District tournament at Crown Hill Golf Course in Williamsport Wednesday at 9 a.m.

The Washington Blue Lions placed 11th with a 395 team score.

Miami Trace was 12th with a 399 result.

McClain was seventh with a 360.

Two Tigers, Trenton Newkirk (82) and Trevor Newkirk (83), advance to the District as individuals.

Also qualifying as individuals to the District are Whit Byrd of Alexander (73), Wyatt Nicholson of Meigs (78) and Jamie Woods of Eastern Brown (82).

Ty Schobelock of Unioto was the Sectional champ with a 69.

Tyler Rood led Washington with an 89.

Tyler Eggleton paced the Panthers with a score of 87.

Also for Washington: Brock Morris, 91; Brice Cartwright, 103; Ty Rose, 112; Sam Shaffer, 127.

Other scores for Miami Trace: Hayden Walters, 88; Trenton Crawford, 92; Dawson Wallace, 132; Dalton Minshall, 140.

Jackson, Chillicothe and Hillsboro are in Division I in boys golf and will compete in their Sectional Thursday at Crown Hill Golf Course.
