Lady Panthers soccer drops match at North Adams, 3-1

The Miami Trace girls varsity soccer team traveled to North Adams where they lost a 3-1 decision on Saturday, Sept. 22.

North Adams scored first at the 25:38 mark.

Miami Trace answered with a penalty kick by Macy Creamer to tie it up at 21:47.

Unfortunately, North Adams scored again with 21:04 remaining in the first half.

North Adams led 2-1 at intermission.

With one minute left to play, North Adams had a breakaway and scored their third goal of the game, setting the final score at 3-1.

Khenadi Grubb had nine saves in goal for Miami Trace.

“We played very well as a team,” Miami Trace head coach Caitlin Francis said. “We passed well and controlled the ball the majority of the game. We even out-shot North Adams 19 to 14. However, we struggled to finish the whole game. It was a well-played match by both teams with a high level of sportsmanship.”

Miami Trace, now 7-3-1 overall and 4-2 in the FAC, returns to conference play Tuesday at McClain at 5 p.m.
