Lady Panther tennis defeats East Clinton

LEES CREEK — The Miami Trace Lady Panthers tennis played a match at former SCOL opponent East Clinton Tuesday, Sept. 18.

The Lady Panthers won the match, five courts to none.

At first singles, Anita Pursell defeated Haley Harrell.

“That was another really good match,” Miami Trace head coach Kim Schirtzinger said. “Anita won the first set, 6-4 and then lost momentum and was down 1-4 in the second set. She fought hard to come back and win the second set, 7-5.”

At second singles, Bayley Thompson beat Paige Harrell, 6-2, 6-3.

At third singles, Cameron Bucher defeated Erin Kratzer, 6-3, 6-1.

At first doubles, Haiven Pepper and Kyleigh Slone won over Carlie Ellis and Sarah Ross, 6-1, 6-2.

Beth Hogsett and Hannah Clemons beat Alexia Garren and Melina Noble at second doubles, 6-4, 6-2.

Miami Trace is at Chillicothe today and at Gardner Park against Washington Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 4:30 p.m.
