Lady Lion tennis beats Jackson, 4-1

JACKSON — The Washington Lady Blue Lions remained unbeaten on the season with a 4-1 win at Jackson Tuesday, Sept. 11.

At first singles, Megan Downing defeated Sydney Humphrey, 6-3, 4-6, 6-1.

Jen Richards lost at second singles, 0-6, 2-6 to Kenzie Humphrey.

Brooklyn Foose won her third singles match, 6-2, 6-4 over Josie Ball.

At first doubles, Sydnie Hall and Beth Wilt beat Lilly Houser and Trinity Montgomery, 6-0, 6-4.

Brynne Frederick and Payton Maddux won the second doubles match, 6-4, 6-1 over Caitlin Camp and Leslie Bragg.

Washington will play at Clinton-Massie Monday, Sept. 17.

The Lady Lions will be back at Gardner Park on Sept. 20 for a match with Hillsboro.
