JACKSON — The Washington Lady Lion soccer team visited Jackson High School Tuesday, Sept. 11 to take on the Ironladies in a Frontier Athletic Conference match.

Jackson won the game, 6-1.

The host team led 4-0 at halftime.

Washington scored with a header from Mackenzie Shaffer off a corner kick assist from Hannah Patterson.

Taylor Smith and Carly Dodds combined for 20 saves.

“(Our) aggressiveness showed up too late,” Washington head coach Chris Chambers said. “We held them to four shots on goal after Taylor went down with an injury. We are still looking for a complete game from both ends of the field.”

The Lady Lions will be back at home Thursday to take on McClain at 6:45 p.m.
