The Miami Trace girls soccer team defeated Sheridan 6-0 on Saturday, Sept. 8.

Macy Creamer scored first at 27:26 from a corner kick.

Magarah Bloom scored the second goal at 12:14 and Isabella Vanover scored a third goal for Miami Trace with 2:27 left in the half giving the Lady Panthers a 3-0 at half-time.

Reagan Barton scored early in the second half with an assist by Bloom at 37:53. Tori Evans scored with 17:09 to go and Vanover got her second goal of the day with 1:09 left in the game.

“It was windy and rainy making touches on the ball difficult but our girls played well together and it was neat to see goals spread out among five different players today,” Miami Trace head coach Caitlin Franics said. “Our defense held strong leaving Khenadi Grubb no saves to pick up in the goal for the day.”

Miami Trace is now 4-1-1 overall and 1-1 in the Frontier Athletic Conference. The Lady Panthers host Hillsboro Tuesday at 6:45 p.m.
