The Miami Trace Lady Panthers continued Frontier Athletic Conference play with a home match against McClain Thursday, Aug. 30.
Miami Trace won the match,6-4.
Tori Morrison scored first for Miami Trace with an assist from Cassidy Lovett at the 36:53 mark.
Less than a minute later, Becca Ratliff scored for the Lady Panthers for a 2-0 advantage.
Miami Trace was able to hold the lead for awhile until Kerigan Pollard scored for McCalin with 26:22 left in the half.
Macy Creamer scored again for Miami Trace with an assist from Reagan Barton at the 11:33 mark.
McClain answered with another goal before the half from Kelli Uhrig.
Miami Trace held the lead at the half, 3-2.
Ratliff convereted a penalty kick five minutes into the second half.
The Lady Panthers tacked on another pair of goals, one from Reagan Barton at 29:36 and another by Jenna Griffith at 28:00 giving Miami Trace a 6-2 lead.
Miami Trace held fast to the four-goal lead until the last five minutes when Uhrig scored off a free kick for McClain followed by another goal from Pollard bringing the final score to 6-4.
Khenadi Grubb had 4 saves in the goal for Miami Trace.
“We are excited to add another win to our record tonight,” Miami Trace head coach Caitlin Franics said. “We had breakdowns at different points in the game but the girls regrouped to come out with the win.”
Miami Trace is now 2-1-1 overall and 1-1 in the league with the next game at home against Westfall Thursday at 5 p.m.
