Miami Trace and Hillsboro battled for 89 minutes and 54.9 seconds on the field at Miami Trace High School in an SCOL soccer match Thursday evening.

The match was tied and appeared that it would end that way.

However, one last, late push by the Indians resulted in the game-winning goal with just 5.1 seconds left on the clock.

It was a heartbreaking loss for the Panthers after a furious match with the Indians.

Hillsboro took the lead on a goal by D.J. Brown with the assist to Marshall Ward at the 23:50 mark of the first half.

Blake Pittser scored to tie the match with 15:20 to play in the half. That goal was unassisted.

Declan Condon had the winning goal for the Indians. The assist on that goal went to Kobe Curtis.

Miami Trace had 11 shots on goal; Hillsboro had 28 shots.

The Hillsboro keeper had four saves and Tim Kinzler had 17 saves for the Panthers.

Hillsboro (now 7-2-2 overall, 5-1-2 in the SCOL) is back in action against McClain at Hillsboro Tuesday.

Miami Trace (now 3-7-1 overall, 1-6-1 in the SCOL) will play at Leesburg Fairfield High School Saturday at 1 p.m.

The Panthers are at Clinton-Massie Tuesday and home against the Washington Blue Lions Thursday.
