The Miami Trace tennis team visited Clinton-Massie High School Tuesday, Sept. 22 for an SCOL match against the Falcons.
Clinton-Massie edged out Miami Trace, 3-2.
Bethany Reiterman played a three-hour match against Morghan Eades at first singles. Eades won the match, 6-4, 4-6, 7-6 (7-5).
“What a great match it was,” Miami Trace head coach Kim Schirtzinger said. “Both girls really fought hard.
Haylee Higgins beat Anne Thompson at second singles, 6-3, 6-1.
Whitney Cockerill defeated Kelly Deatherage at third singles, 6-3, 6-3.
Maddi Wallace and Cassie VanDyke lost at first doubles to Emma Bailey and Clair Carruthers, 0-6, 3-6.
Shelby Mulford and Macy Detty lost at second doubles, 6-4, 0-6, 4-6 to Jordan Bills and Hayley Clayburn.
Miami Trace will play at Gardner Park against the Lady Lions of Washington High School Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
