MT 7th grade girls start season 4-0

The Miami Trace seventh grade girls basketball team has started off their season on a winning run with an 4-0 record.

For the first game of the season the Lady Panthers traveled to Leesburg Fairfield where they came out with a hard-fought one point victory, 24-23.

Hillary Jacobs led the Panther scoring with nine points. Mallory Lovett, Haleigh Moore and Hillary McCoy had four points each with Audrey Craig chipping in with three.

Next up the Panthers traveled to Chillicothe on Dec. 4 and came away with a 50-27 victory.

Miami Trace were led in scoring by Hillary Jacobs with 15 points and Hillary McCoy with 12 Haleigh Moore and Gracey Ferguson chipped in eight each. Mallory Lovett added seven with Audrey Craig with four and Katie Hicks with two.

Third game of the season the Lady Panthers traveled to Greenfield (Dec. 7) where they defeated the Tigers, 36-21.

Haleigh Moore led all scores with nine and Hillary Jacobs added eight. Also adding to the scoring drive was Gracey Ferguson with six, Mallory Lovett and Hillary McCoy with five each. Audrey Craig added two points an Jana Griffith contributed with one point.

On Monday evening, Dec. 11, the Lady Panthers hosted the Hillsboro Indians where they added to their winning record by defeating the Indians, 52-14.

Hillary Jacobs and Mallory Lovett lead all scores with 18 points and 14 points respectively. Hillary McCoy chipped in with seven points. Also scoring were Haleigh Moore and Audrey Craig with three points each. Gracey Ferguson, Kymberly Fisher and Jana Griffith added two each and Kennedy Kinzer scored one point.
