The Washington Blue Lions will host the Cross the Creek cross country meet this Saturday at the home of Tim and Alana Walters, 3477 Mark Road, Washington C.H.

Mark Road is located off US 62, four miles southwest of town (as you are heading towards Hillsboro).

The course features hills, woods, a creek and fields. The course is lined and marked with flags, signs and paint. It is also very spectator friendly.

This will be the third year for the event.

The middle school girls race is first at 9:30 a.m.

The middle school boys race is slated for a 10 a.m. start.

The high school girls race is at 10:30 a.m. and the high school boys have a starting time of 11:15 a.m.

At noon, there is a 2-mile Fun Run for any and all ages. There is an entry fee of $5 per person. There must be at least 15 entries to conduct the race.

Admission to the event is $5 per vehicle.

Bus parking and a concession stand will be available.
