MT boys cc 4th at Southeastern

The Miami Trace Panthers cross country teams took part in the Aaron Reed cross country invitational Saturday, Sept. 16 at Southeastern High School near Chillicothe.

The Miami Trace high school boys team placed fourth out of 18 teams with 147 placement points.

The Lady Panthers placed 12th out of 16 teams with 262 placement points.

For the Panthers, Henry DeBruin placed 17th in a time of 18:32.75. There were 195 runners in the field.

Simon DeBruin finished in 20th place in 18:38.30.

Bo Little was 30th in 18:57.87; Nick Foody was 37th in a time of 19:27.06; Mcale Callahan was 43rd in 19:47.86; Caleb Brannigan was 48th with a time of 20:04.48 and Wyatt Cory was 70th in 20:52.52.

Jake Atwood was 103rd in 21:59.93; Cole Howland was 111th in 22:32.66; Matthew Warner was 162nd in 25:13.40 and Skylar Lyons was 178th in 26:40.76.

Keifer Mosmeier of Logan Elm won the event in 16:46.15.

Leesburg Fairfield won the team event.

Austin Setty of Fairfield was third in 17:28.57 and Ethan Davis was ninth in 17:49.91.

Three other Fairfield runners placed 11th through 13th: Matthew Mangus, 18:09.10; Bennett Hodson, 18:10.46 and Cohen Frost, 18:12.47.

The top placer from Chillicothe was Max Greishiemer, 16th in 18:29.76.

McClain’s top runner was Reece Schluep, 40th in 19:44.00.

Jackson’s Mitchell Ogdin was the first to finish for the Ironmen, 68th in 20:47.65.

For the Miami Trace Lady Panthers, Kylie Pettitt led the way in 19th with a time of 24:05.33.

Saylor Preston was 39th in 25:56.33; Devan Thomas was 52nd in 27:23.68; Abby Arledge was 62nd in 28:56.73 and Lilly Litteral was 90th in 32:03.29.

Sara Watts of Gallia Academy won the race, out of a field of 134, in a time of 20:56.16.

Jackson’s Mazie Wechter was fourth in a time of 21:25.52.

Leesburg Fairfield won the girls’ event with 103 placement points.

Ciara Colwell was third in 21:22.04; Morgan Richmond placed 10th in 22:54.93 and Chloe Barber was 15th in 23:39.83.

In the middle school boys race, Miami Trace’s team placed sixth out of 15 teams with 157 placement points.

Jadon Rowe placed seventh as a team member in 13:11.47.

Connor Bucher finished eighth in 13:13.42.

Weston Melvin was 19th in 13:46.94; Cole Little was 56th with a time of 15:26.57; Isaiah Reisinger finished 67th in 15:54.56; Eli Miller was 71st in 16:14.93; Zach Warnock was 73rd in 16:32.87. That was the final team scoring spot.

Jacob Miller finished 100th in 16:36.60; Kaiden Thompson was 128th in 18:02.67; Kolton Moore was 135th in 18:46.11; Gannon Phillips was 138th in 18:58.38 and Wesley May was 149th in 20:15.46.

Leesburg Fairfield won the team competition with 75 placement points.

Teays Valley was second with 82; Unioto was fourth with 95 and Chillicothe was seventh with 198 points.

Todd Elliott of Gallia Academy won in a time of 12:29.88.

Reece Teeters of Fairfield was fourth as a team member in 13:00.03.

In the girls middle school race, Miami Trace’s Mallory Conklin was fifth as a team member in 15:30.41.

The Miami Trace team was eighth out of 12 with 163 placement points.

Meghan Cory was 22nd in 16:53.68; Delaney Thomas was 34th in 17:57.55; Kelsey Pettit was 48th in 19:12.31; Makayla Barnes finished 54th in 19:45.07; Courtney Arnold was 55th in 19:55.08 and Katelyn Hicks was 65th in 21:00.93.

Mara Simonson was 103rd in 21:01.98; Lorelei King was 115th in 22:15.20 and Zoe Penwell was 123rd in 25:40.76.

Bishop Flaget won the girls middle school team event with 77 placement points.

Unioto’s Indiya Spetnagel won the race in 14:50.09.

Leesburg Fairfield was sixth with 149 placement points.

Miami Trace will compete at the George Rogers Clark Invitational Saturday.
