MTMS, WMS split volleyball matches

The Miami Trace seventh and eighth grade volleyball teams visited Washington Middle School to take on their county rivals Tuesday, Sept. 19.

Miami Trace won the seventh grade match, while Washington won the eighth grade contest.

In the first set of the seventh grade match-up, Miami Trace won, 25-15.

The Blue Lions came back to beat the Panthers in the second set, 25-15. In the deciding game, the MTMS seventh grade volleyball team was victorious with a 27-25 score.

The Miami Trace Middle School seventh grade volleyball team remains undefeated.

The eighth grade volleyball match followed.

The first set was taken by the MTMS team, with a score of 25-17. The next two sets were very close; WMS was victorious in both with scores of 25-22 and 25-22.

After traveling to play Chillicothe on Thursday, the Miami Trace Middle School volleyball teams will finish out the regular season games at home at 5 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday evenings the next two weeks (Sept. 26 and 28, and Oct. 3 and 5).
