Lady Lions soccer falls to Waverly

WAVERLY — The Washington Lady Blue Lion soccer team visited Pike County Thursday, Sept. 7 for a non-conference match against the Waverly Lady Tigers.

Waverly won the match, 9-1.

Kassidy Hines scored for Washington with the assist from Arianna Heath in the 37th minute.

For Waverly, Smith had five goals, Moran had three and B. Murphy had one.

Waverly had 33 shots on goal and their goalkeeper, Henson, had two saves.

Washington had eight shots on goal and keeper Taylor Smith had 17 saves.

The Lady Lions host Jackson for a match in the Frontier Athletic Conference Tuesday at 6:45 p.m.
