Lady Panther tennis falls at Jackson

JACKSON — The Miami Trace Lady Panthers tennis team made their first trip to Jackson for a Frontier Athletic Conference match with the Iron Ladies.

Jackson won the match, 5-0.

At first singles, Cassie VanDyke lost to Sydney Humphreys, 0-6, 0-6

At second singles, Bayley Thompson fell to Kenzie Humphries, 2-6, 2-6.

Kyleigh Slone played third singles and lost to Alyson Bragg, 2-6, 1-6.

At first doubles, Cameron Bucher and Haiven Pepper lost to Josie Ball and Lillie House, 2-6, 0-6.

At second doubles, Jackie Wisecup and Beth Hogsett fell to Georgia Miller and Natalie Kirby, 6-4, 3-6, 5-10 in the third set tiebreak.

For Miami Trace in j-v play, Taylor Moore won, 8-2.

Miami Trace’s Angela Godinez lost, 0-8 and Lydia Zwoll and Haylee Anders played doubles and lost, 0-8.

Miami Trace will contend another FAC match Tuesday at Hillsboro at 4:30 p.m.

The Lady Panthers will be back on their home courts Thursday, Sept. 14 against Jackson.
