Logan Elm beats Lady Lions, 4-1

The Washington Lady Blue Lion tennis team hosted the team from Logan Elm High School Wednesday, Aug. 23.

Logan Elm won the match, 4-1.

At first singles, LE’s Shelby Ward beat Megan Downing, 7-6 (7-4), 4-6, 6-2.

At second singles, Kendra Risner of Logan Elm defeated Jen Richards, 6-2, 6-2.

Washington’s Sydnie Hall won a three-set match against Maci Garrett, 6-4, 5-7, 6-4.

At first doubles, Abby Stroup and Abbi Mascari beat Washington’s Bethany Wilt and Brooklyn Foose, 6-2, 6-2.

At second doubles, Eliza Browning and Makayla McDaniel of Logan Elm topped Brynne Frederick and Payton Maddux, 6-3, 6-3.

Washington will be taking part in a tournament at Marietta College Saturday. The Lady Lions will be home on Monday at 4:30 p.m. to play Circleville.
