Panther golf beats Jackson in FAC match

On a hot Wednesday, Aug. 16, the Miami Trace Panthers boys golf team hosted the team from Jackson High School for a Frontier Athletic Conference match at The Greens.

Miami Trace won the match with a team score of 177 to 191 for the Ironmen.

Miami Trace’s Tyler Eggleton was the match medalist with a score of 40.

Hayden Walters shot a 42, Cameron Carter had a score of 46, Heath Cockerill and Drew Batson both shot a 49 and Trent Crawford had a 57.

For Jackson, Kole Weaver led with a 43 and Ethan Mercer shot a 44.

Trase Speakman and Cooper Donaldson both shot 52, Aiden Massie had a 56 and Keelan Kilgur a 62.

Miami Trace, off to a 2-0 start in FAC play, will host former SCOL rivals Clinton-Massie Wednesday at 4 p.m.
