CHILLICOTHE — The Washington Blue Lion golf team earned its first victory in the new Frontier Athletic Conference Monday, Aug. 14, 2017.

Washington shot a team score of 198 to 209 for host Chillicothe.

Freshman Ty Rose was medalist with a score of 47.

“I’m really proud of our young team,” Washington head coach Shannon Bartruff said. “It’s going to be a marathon, not a sprint.”

Also for Washington, Gabe Arazo had a score of 48; Tyler Rood, 51; Brock Morris, 52 and Brice Cartwright, 63.

Scores for Chillicothe: Haller, 49; Taylor, 52; Smith, 53; Kobel, 55 and Burnham, 65.

Washington’s next match is today at Snow Hill Country Club against former SCOL opponent, East Clinton.
