Panther golf beats Blue Lions

The Washington Blue Lions and Miami Trace Panthers golf teams played each other for the first time as members of the new Frontier Athletic Conference Thursday at the Greens.

Miami Trace won the match with a 198 to a 205 for Washington.

Washington’s Tyler Rood captured medalist honors with a 44.

Tyler Eggleton led the Panthers with a score of 45.

Other scores for Miami Trace were: Hayden Walters, 49; Cameron Carter, 52; Drew Batson, 52; Brett Lewis, 62 and Trenton Crawford, 66.

Other scores for Washington were: Ty Rose, 49; Brock Morris, 55; Gabe Arazo, 57 and Brice Cartwright, 59.

Washington’s next match is Monday at Chillicothe at 4 p.m.

Miami Trace will host Jackson Wednesday at 4 p.m.
