Miami Trace golf splits opening matches

The Miami Trace Lady Panthers golf team began the 2015 season with a loss at home to Clinton-Massie and a win at Wilmington.

On Aug. 7, Clinton-Massie visited the Club at Quail Run and won the match against Miami Trace, 232-266.

Angela Miller of Clinton-Massie was the medalist with a score of 52.

Miranda Wheeler shot the low score of 61 for Miami Trace.

Also for Miami Trace, Lindsey Worley, 66; Katie Zeigler, 67; Shelbie Rowan, 72; Makayla Eggleton, 79; Macy Stires, 79.

Other scores for Clinton-Massie: Kelsey Smith, 54; Gwen Broderick, 56; Taylor Kropp, 70; Emma Filipinski, 71; Chloe Phelps, 82.

On Aug. 12, Miami Trace defeated Wilmington, 234-248.

Katie Zeigler had the low round of 56 for Miami Trace.

Also for Miami Trace: Miranda Wheeler, 57; Madisyn Callahan, 59; Lindsey Worley, 62; Makayla Eggleton, 62; Macy Stires, 63.

Heather Fryman of Wilmington was the medalist with a 52.

Other scores for Wilmington: Lyndsey Murphy, 60; Amanda Milburn, 67; Sydney Johnston, 69; Meredith Robinson, 71; Carrie Robinson, 71.

Miami Trace will be at Buckeye Hills Wednesday to play McClain.
