The Washington Blue Lion varsity baseball had a home game against the Wildcats of Blanchester on a chilly, overcast Wednesday, May 3.
Blanchester won the game, 6-0.
Kenny Arboleda started and took the loss for Washington.
He pitched four innings with six hits and four runs (three earned) with five walks and four strikeouts.
Avery Wilson pitched three innings with three hits and two runs (neither earned) with four strikeouts.
Jacksson Waialae was the winning pitcher for the Wildcats. He pitched a complete game, allowing three hits with four walks and 11 strikeouts.
Blanchester scored single runs in the first, second, third and fourth innings and added two in the sixth.
Washington threatened with the bases loaded and nobody out in the fifth, but could not score.
For the Blue Lions, Griffin Shaw went 2 for 3 and Logan Jackson was 1 for 2.
George Reno, Kyler Mount and Ethan Marting each had one stolen base for Washington.
Munhollen had three hits, Rausch had two hits and Waialae had two hits to lead Blanchester.
The Blue Lions are back home Thursday, taking on Dayton Stivers at 5 p.m.
Washington has a game at Waverly on Tuesday and will travel to Fairfield Union for the opener of the Sectional tournament Thursday, May 11 at 5 p.m.
