Strike Out Cancer games at MTHS April 12

The Miami Trace and Washington varsity baseball and softball teams will be holding a Strike Out Cancer game on Wednesday, April 12 at Miami Trace High School. Game time will be 5 p.m.

Washington does not have a j-v softball team this year, but the j-v baseball teams will also be participating by wearing shirts. Their game will be at Washington High School, also Wednesday at 5 p.m.

The teams sold over 600 t-shirts last week to support Jenny and Sean Davis and their two daughters.

Jenny was recently diagnosed with advanced colorectal cancer. She just finished her first round of chemotherapy and radiation. She will have surgery in a couple of weeks followed by many more rounds of chemo and radiation.

Jenny is married to Sean Davis who is a youth basketball coach for Miami Trace and they have two daughters who attend Miami Trace.

A bake sale is also planned for the night of the game. So please come out to support our Fayette County youth, enjoy a Panther Burger, and purchase some goodies at the bake sale, all while supporting the Davis family in their battle with cancer.
