Wilmington hosted a tri-meet with Miami Trace and Washington swim teams on Thursday, Jan. 12 at Wilmington College.

Wilmington girls were victorious with a team score of 140, followed closely by Miami Trace with 122 and Washington with 42 points.

First place individual finishers for the Lady Panthers were: Clare Sollars, 100 meter freestyle, 1:13.20 and the 400 meter freestyle, 5:49.72, and Tori Morrison, 100 meter backstroke, 1.30.83.

The Lady Panthers placed first in the 400 meter relay. Team members Lauren Truex, Addy Braden, Kaitlyn Taylor and Clare Sollars turned in a winning time of 5:12.25.

In the boys’ competition, Wilmington won with a team score of 144, followed by Miami Trace with 81 points and Washington with 48 points.

The Panther boys 400 meter relay team, Justin Jones, Isaac Abare, Hunter Howard and Jacob Haldeman, placed first with a time of 5:03.98.
