CHILLICOTHE — The Miami Trace and Washington swim teams competed in an SCOL tri-meet Thursday, Dec. 8 at the Ross County YMCA in Chillicothe.
In the girls’ competition, Miami Trace was victorious with a team score of 101 followed by Chillicothe with 90 points and Washington with 31 points.
First place individual finishers for the Lady Panthers were: Addie Braden, 200 freestyle, 2:35.37, Clare Sollars, 100 freestyle, 1:06.43 and the 500 freestyle, 6:43.32, and Kaitlyn Taylor, 30.27, 50 freestyle.
With a first place finish for Washington was Grace Gerber, 100 butterfly, 1:38.13.
First place relay team finishers for the Lady Panthers were: 200 free relay team members Gretchen Rife, Clarissa Hostetler, Kaitlyn Taylor, and Lauren Truex, 2:07.84 and the 400 free relay team Lauren Truex, Katlyn Taylor, Addie Braden and Clare Sollars with a time of 4:36.77.
Chillicothe came out on top of the boys’ competition with 131 points, followed by Miami Trace with 42. Washington came in third with 34 points.
For the Panthers, Jacob Haldeman won the 50 freestyle with a time of 25.16.
The next meet for Miami Trace and Washington is Thursday, Dec. 15 at 5 p.m. at the Hillsboro YMCA.
